Carlsbad is a coastal town that stretches about 7 miles east. It includes multiple beautiful picturesque lagoons, most of which are walkable and some which are even accessible by water! Carlsbad is located in scenic North County and known as “The Village by the Sea,” Carlsbad was named after a famous spa in Karlsbad, Bohemia, when in 1882 the water in Carlsbad was found to have similar mineral content.
